v3.0.0

The Stella page is here. Answer questions, steer groups of agents, start work items, and see what waits on you, all from one place. Progress updates let a running agent ask a question mid-plan and resume after you answer.

Oxagen app for macOS

macOS 12 or newer. Open the .dmg and drag Oxagen to Applications. Builds are not yet notarized, so macOS refuses the first launch. Choose Done, then click Open Anyway in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

Oxagen app for Windows

Windows 10 or newer, x64.

Oxagen app for Linux

x86_64. Install the package for your distribution.

On macOS, the app installs new versions on its own and runs them after your next restart. Windows and Linux ask first. How updates work and how to turn them off.

Command line, without the app

The same tacho and oxagen executables the app links onto your PATH, one file each, on downloads.oxagen.sh beside the installers. Each has a .sha256 beside it. Rename the file to tacho or oxagen, make it executable, and put it on your PATH.

What changed

The Stella page

Stella now has its own page in the app. From it you can see a briefing of what changed since you last visited, answer every item that waits on you one at a time, steer a group of agents in your own words, and start a ready work item on its own model tier and effort or a lighter one. A count of what waits on you appears on the sidebar and the top bar. (483935512b, 50b173f59a, 3df9e1c9b1, 5eb5e6137c, 576e9978e3)

Agent progress updates

A running agent can now post a progress update after each step of its plan. When a progress update asks for something, Oxagen raises a question on the run. Stella drafts an answer for you to send, or you can answer from your own rule, or undo the queued answer. A failed commit no longer strands the question: the question is saved before its frame. (f5079d6ebc, b2c8135818, 483935512b)

Stella's permissions and what it may do alone

You can now choose what Stella may do on your behalf without asking, from the Stella page. Each switch under Acts alone turns one of those actions on or off. Only a person can resolve an approval, answer a consent, or answer an agent's question. (154ad32439, 0767ef8750, 5a52d88e8c)

Work progress, spend, and model tiers

A new Work progress page shows work items, spend, and what waits on you in one view, with engineering, finance, and personal lenses. You can see and set each work item's model tier and effort from the Work page, and see which model tier and effort similar work ran on before you send. Organizations can now name their model tiers and pick the model each harness runs for them. (fe94d08301, 6317a38227, f9c7b81ccf)

Sandbox improvements

One agent can now run any number of sandboxes at once, each with its own host. Oxagen generates a sandbox template from the workspace's repositories, and you can open the sandbox wizard on a generated template. The CLI can launch a sandbox run, attach to its terminal, and manage model credentials. (47e2baeaaa, 66008b1113, 59889664d2)

Spend page additions

The Spend page now has a date range filter. Keep-alive cost, work order metrics, and model class replays are visible. You can set a no-progress limit and see runs that hit it. (4f0ce52347, 003cee1ff1)

  • Steering records now show their pull request on the record page, and you can search them by body and kind. Stella rewrites the prose that steers agents, and one frame holds every write dialog. (35a9ea23b6, c17dee1ebb, f3c96b97a7)
  • Work items gained attachments, assignees, labels, and a rich description editor. Stella files issues, closes work items, and comments on source issues after you confirm. (6770, 9849a547ce)
  • Notifications can now be configured per workspace, delivered by Slack or email, with an unsubscribe link in each email. (6750, 6935)
  • Settings pages now appear in a grouped side rail instead of a dropdown. (d25e121ae2)
  • GitLab work orders run on their own project and record their merge request. The monday.com integration was removed. (34b5a8d6e2, 41f42ec7ff)
